Steven Vandemark

Steven Vandemark is Principal of Santa Fe Trail Elementary School in Overland Park, Kansas. He has been employed in public education (elementary level) for 18 years: ten years teaching 6th grade, four years teaching 2nd grade, and four years as a building principal. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State University, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mid America Nazarene University, and a Master's Degree in Building Administration from Pittsburg State University. He has received extensive staff development over the past several years on RtI. Santa Fe Trail Elementary School has been implementing MTSS (in Kansas, RtI is called "MTSS" or "Multi-Tier System of Supports") the past two years. Mr. Vandemark is a member of their elementary RtI (MTSS) team, a member of the district-level RtI (MTSS) team, and a member of the building-level RtI (MTSS) team.
