Mendy Gomez

I have been married for 22 years and I am the mother of two children. Talia (age 15) and Adam (age 11).  My family and I reside in Vail, Arizona (a suburb of Tucson). Both my children attend school in the Vail Unified School District.  My son, Adam, was diagnosed with Dyslexia and AD/HD at the age of 6.  I began getting involved in RTI advocacy after we moved to Vail two years ago, and saw significant academic progress with my son.

After 12 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I recently went back to the workplace. I am a Family Advocate for a Title I middle school in Tucson, Arizona.  Where I get to share my passion for educational advocacy with other families....and hopefully make a difference.
