The Leadership Network asks its participants to provide information on their schools implementing Response to Intervention in order to assess the Leadership Network’s impact on leadership skills as well as student and school performance.
Through collecting school report card data and the number of special education and disciplinary referrals, the RTI Action Network was able to measure the 2010-2011 Leadership Network’s impact on schools. See the data from the 2010-2011 Leadership Network below.
Leadership Network Evaluation Summaries
The Leadership Network also surveys its participants during the middle of the school year and at the end of the school year to gain information on participant satisfaction with the Leadership Network as well as understand how the Leadership Network has affected participants’ experiences implementing RTI in their schools.

Test Score Trends in Participating Schools
Of schools that had a history of declining student achievement, 70% and 77% respectively reversed that trend in Reading and Math the year they received mentoring, and experienced improved student performance.
Of schools that had a history of improved student achievement over three years of RTI implementation, 23% and 17% experienced an even greater rate of improvement in Reading and Math the year they received mentoring.
