Aaron Deris

Dr. Aaron Deris

Dr. Aaron Deris, previously served as the Response to Intervention Coordinator for Bloomington Public Schools in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role he guided the district in implementing a Response to Intervention model in each of the elementary buildings and provided guidance to programming at both the early childhood and secondary level. In his role, he secured state funding of over a million dollars to assist with the district’s efforts. In 2011, he became an assistant professor in the department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In his current role he is developing a personnel preparation program for an early childhood special education license.

Dr. Deris is originally from Louisiana and, while completing his doctoral work. assisted with pre-referral models in the state. His other areas of professional interest include early childhood special education and working with families of children with autism.
